We spent a few days of the break and Thanksgiving Day in Logan with my family. We had a great time enjoying everyone's company! My Uncle Courtney takes care of the bird-carving...
Because I am the best room mom ever...(har har) we threw a Thanksgiving Feast for Drew's class!
We did it during the lunch hour and stayed in the classroom instead of going to the lunch room. Each kid brought assigned kid-friendly feast foods and we made pilgrim or indian headbands. After we ate, we had some story time and then did a little math lesson/recipe for pumpkin pie pudding. (It was so yummy!) They had to figure out what to do if the recipe makes 8 servings and we had 21 kids in class. Fun times in 2nd grade! The kids had a great time with Sam and Alex when they came to visit us for an overnight stay. The grown-ups had just as much fun too. Jared & Mandy: we hope you come see us again soon!
Cute little Rosalind turned 6 today, and her family had a party for her at the bowling alley! How fun! All the kids were invited to dress as any disney character. Kate baked pretty sparkly pink cupcakes...so yummy! Everyone signed a bowling pin for Rose to take home and remember her party.
The Liechtys laughed and played with Jack, aka Mickey Mouse.
Drew and LJ enjoyed practicing their bowling moves. Drew just wore his Pluto t-shirt and LilyJane came straight from dance class so she was a disney ballerina.
Drew even tried to help Jack learn how to bowl. A fun night was had by all, we always enjoy hanging out with all the Liechty family. One of the fun events of the night was that we got talking with aunt Beth and she said she teaches piano lessons. We decided to have her start teaching Drew, starting tomorrow. He is excited about it, we all are!
Unfortunately, Drew spent the first week of November sick but Lily Jane was able to enjoy the first bit of snow with all of her usual exuberance! She built a tiny snowman... and even gave him a little face.
LJ was so disappointed when the tiny snowman was gone the next day!
