Thanksgiving Feast!

Because I am the best room mom ever...(har har) we threw a Thanksgiving Feast for Drew's class!
We did it during the lunch hour and stayed in the classroom instead of going to the lunch room. Each kid brought assigned kid-friendly feast foods and we made pilgrim or indian headbands. After we ate, we had some story time and then did a little math lesson/recipe for pumpkin pie pudding. (It was so yummy!) They had to figure out what to do if the recipe makes 8 servings and we had 21 kids in class. Fun times in 2nd grade!

The funny thing is ... my 7th graders struggle with those conversions! Teach 'em while they're young.
