Chantia and I have been hard at work for a couple of weeks planning a fun party for mom's 50th birthday. As you all know, our mom has cancer and is going through chemotherapy. Plus it's her 5oth birthday so we had to do something special. We planned a surprise party at Magelby's Restaurant in Provo. 
They pulled out all the stops, giving us our own room to use and letting us come early to decorate.
The waitress even made this cute sign for the door.
She thought she was just meeting us for dinner. We had told all the guests to be there at 4:30, and told her to meet us at Magelby's at 5. First we really had to convince her to even go, she just was not feeling well. Then on the way there she tried to talk Carl into going to Red Lobster instead!! :) We really had to work hard to make her be there at the right time and the right place!
Realizing it's a full-blown party! SURPRISE!!!
There are about 65 people there. She spent the first while just looking and looking around at everyone who was there. All her siblings were there with their spouses, people from work, people from stamping groups, family, friends...even Tami who lives out in California made the trek. Everyone signed a book for her and had their pictures taken. I have been about as swift getting it all finished as I am with my blog updates. Sorry mom! :(
I think she was most surprised to have both her parents there. It has been a long time since they both made the journey from Logan together.
David sang and entertained everyone.
Carl sang too, the same song he did for their wedding day. It was really touching.
