July Snippets

The Balloon Launch in Provo. 6:00 am is REALLY early to drag the kids out, (especially my late sleepin' kids!) and especially the day after the late night fireworks.

But it was WELL worth it.

SO very cool to see the balloons flat on the field, and go thru the whole process to being way up in the air. It actually did not take very long.

I think we might make this a tradition, the kids loved it so much. I asked if they would ever want to ride in one, and they say NO WAY!

But it's impressive to watch. My cousin Carson was staying with us at the time. Drew had so much fun with his bigger cousin. (He's 11.)
My parents even rolled out of bed early for the event. Not a chance of getting Tia there though!! She is a late-night girl, not an early-morning one!
Just had to throw this one in. This is Lily doing some sort of sparkler jig....

John's Birthday! He was born 7-7-77, making him an automatically lucky person, and also 31 years old now!
We had a great day/date together, we went to breakfast, saw a movie (Get Smart--it was good!) and hung out together all day while my sister babysat (thanks so much Tia!!)...then in the evening we had a party at Spaghetti Factory (John's fave) with some friends and family.

Good friends Drew, Stacey and Cambria joined us (this guy is who our kiddo Drew is named after--John's old friend and an all-around swell chap)
Kids made a b-day poster for John while we were out on our date

From parents, (his and mine) he got a grill, and we have been enjoying outdoor eating & our deck ever since.
YUMMY! Chicken and Steak kabobs. I love that John cooks!
